My birthday is October 21,1997. My mom and I share the same birthday.
I was raised in Brockton, Ma, but born in Pawtucket Rhode island, both of my parents are from west Africa Senegal. I grew up in a very cultural and Traditional household my mom always told me to embrace my culture and who I am.
I am bilingual I speak English and Walouf, Walouf is the native language of Senegal.
What introduced you to art?
Honestly I think it was my environment because I've been drawing for as long as i can remember its always been apart of me you know. when i was really young i would always watch cartoons and in my mind its like "wow you're telling me someone sat here and drew these"? "you're kidding I can do that"? At school my friends and I would always draw on these really big pieces of construction paper and that made me happy it was just stick figures but it made me feel good and I still carry that feeling with me when I put my pen to the pad. That little piece of happiness those things together became very powerfull forces in my life.
What does art mean to you?
Art is something very special to me it is what holds me together it is everything. If I did not have this . I would be someone else. That's all that is to it.
What do you plan to do with this gift?
I plan on opening a business. I want to be my own boss, I want to be someone people can depend on. I grew up in Brockton since the jump I have seen it all kids with talent throw it away for drugs and girls, people that I grew up with going to jail for unreasonable things.But do not get me wrong I love my city I want to give back to my city. I want to be able to give back to kids.
I want to be able to mass produce art for the people. I want to make beauty for as long as I am able to.
